Unless the procedural rules applicable to your document specify other requirements for service by email, the email should be less than 10 MB and must include full contact information (sender’s name, address, telephone number and email address); the date and time of transmission; and the name and telephone number of a person to contact in the event of a transmission problem.

After sending the legal documents, you will receive an automatic email response. This automated response does not constitute acceptance of service of any originating process. Board staff will review the document and, where service is accepted, deliver a notice by email accepting service on behalf of the Board. Any time periods arising from service will begin to run after Board staff expressly accept service.

Person: Toronto Police Service personnel at the Duty Desk at 40 College Street will help support you in contacting Board staff to serve the document and confirm receipt. Leaving a document with Toronto Police Service personnel (as opposed to Board staff) or at a Toronto Police Service Duty Desk will not be accepted as service.
