Police Board to meet Today
Toronto: The next scheduled meeting of the Toronto Police Services Board will take place on Tuesday January 22, 2008 at 1:30 PM. Please note that this meeting will take place at Police Headquarters in the 2nd Floor Auditorium. Copies of the agenda are available on the Board’s website www.torontopoliceboard.on.ca, from the Board office and limited copies are available at the meeting.
Items of interest include:
Election of the Chair and Vice Chair
The Board will elect a Chair and a Vice Chair for the year 2008.
Police Towing Contracts – Quotation Request
The Board will consider a report from the Chief of Police recommending the approval of the issuance of the towing and pound services contract for 2008 to 2011.
Annual Statistical Report – Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
The Board will receive the 2007 Annual Report on the Toronto Police Service’s compliance with the requirements of the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. The report indicates that 77% of requests were completed within 30 days.
In-Car Camera System – Vendor Selection
The Board will consider a report from the Chief of Police recommending a supplier to provide up to 460 in-car camera systems. The in-car camera systems will be installed in various police vehicles, over the next 5 years, at a capital cost of up to $4.661 Million.
