Hello,

Police should not have firearms. Period end of story.
   
As a single mother who has dealt with the police on numerous occasions 3 years ago during my abusive marriage over and over again I don’t not feel the police are safe, and I absolutely know our justice system doesn’t help anyone. I could have been killed by my ex husband and police didn’t care to hold him accountable or even ensure my safety or the safety of my child. It is unacceptable. For them to not take these calls more seriously and allow these abusive monsters to walk free. 

BLM: dismantle your police force your are not trusted by the public . 

Mental health : Regis should be alive , it is disgusting that with your budget you cannot enjoy mental health services for your citizens who are in need . Money needs to be spent on mental health not on body cameras!! 

Housing  : the fact that you cannot help the homes less . You definitely cannot help a single mother leaving an Abusive marriage from having to also take sell there body to pay there bills  . 

childcare : virally unavailability for woman like me who couldn’t get a spot . Almost lost my career. While your police force is militarized abused woman are left to turning to anything they can just to get by and keep themselves save from there abuser. 

As a woman who as been raped in the city of Toronto , I would NEVER report anything to police, imagine how many more woman like me exist , as I didn’t feel safe. When you have been hurt by the system so many times that is supposed to be built to protect you and those around you , you lose hope. 

I would like to see the Toronto police take responsibility for the systemic racism within there force and take the time to defund and dismantle , so our community can finally have community lead safety measures that’s  supposed include monsters with guns. 

The fact that your own chief cannot fire a officer for miscount is seriously shows the issues within your own sick system . You all should be ashamed that children don’t feel safe. My 8 year old is scared of the police because he himself have seen how they’re have treated the homeless in Kensington Market where we frequent. 

We will not let up. We will not stop. Until the entire police force is dismantled. I hope to see you all on the side of change. 

Most importantly listen to the indigenous listen the Blm , they have the answers!! It is you guys who are not listening. 

You don’t needs guns, I don’t feel safe in my own city Knowing your cops have guns .
