Rule 3.2.2 – Absence of Chief of Police |
It is the policy of the Toronto Police Services Board that:
- The Chief of Police will, when not available to provide supervision/direction, appoint a Deputy Chief of Police or the Chief Administrative Officer to assume the duties of the Chief of Police; and
- When a Deputy Chief of Police or the Chief Administrative Officer are not available to provide supervision/direction, the Chief of Police will appoint an acting Deputy Chief of Police or an acting Chief Administrative Officer to assume the duties of the Deputy Chief of Police or Chief Administrative Officer respectively.
