The Toronto Police Services Board is dedicated to transparency and public engagement in the development of the 2024 budget for the Toronto Police Service.

This Toronto Police Services Board 2024 operating budget request is a net amount of $2,355,300, which represents an increase of $178,500 over the 2023 approved budget.

Budget Committee

At its July 27, 2023 Meeting, the Toronto Police Services Board established a Budget Committee for the purpose of reviewing the Toronto Police Service’s 2024 capital, operating, and the Parking Enforcement Unit’s budget requests as well as the Board’s 2024 operating budget request, as they develop. The Board designated Chair Ann Morgan, Councillor Vincent Crisanti, and Board Members Lisa Kostakis and Nadine Spencer as members of the Budget Committee. As of August 10, 2023, Councillor Vincent Crisanti is no longer a Member of the Board.

The Budget Committee will hold three meetings:

The final budget request will be considered by the full Board at its regular meeting on December 19, 2023.

The meetings will take place at the Police Headquarters, 40 College Street, or virtually via WebEx, and will be livestreamed on YouTube on the Toronto Police Service's YouTube Channel.

HOW TO ENGAGE IN THE BUDGET PROCESS

Members of the public are welcome to make deputations before the Budget Commitee in person or virtually. Sign-up for deputations will open one week before each meeting, and close on the business day before each meeting at 12pm. Please fill out the sign-up form to make a deputation.
